feat: [UNIT1] 문장의 틀(기본) (BASIC)

문장 -> 주어와 서술어를 갖춘 언어 형식 -> 단어를 일정한 순서로 배열하여 의미를 전달

 

1. 1형식 문장

- 1형식(S+V) -> 주어와 동사로 온전히 의미를 전달할 수 있는 문장

 -> 수식어구 -> 더 상세한 정보 추가

- S가 있다 -> there be S -> be동사는 주어의 인청과 수에 맞는 형태로 사용

 

001 The river ran through the forest.

002 Something powerful happens inside people.

003 Much of learning occurs through trial and error.

004 The content of water varies according to products.

005 There is an important relationshop between friendships and health.

 

2. 2형식 문장

- 2형식(S+V+SC) -> 주격 보어 -> 주어와 동사만으로 의미 전달이 불완전 -> 의미가 완결되도록 보충

 -> 명사, 형용사가 올 수 있음 -> 부사는 올 수 없음

- 상태 -> be, stay, keep, remain

- 상태 변화 -> become, get, grow, turn

- 인식 -> seem, appear

- 감각 -> look, sound, smell, feel, taste

 

006 The size of the target looks incredibly large.

007 Spoken English may sound very rapid.

008 Stores stay open 24 hours a day for shopping.

009 The meaning of the words "I love you" remains the same.

010 Many people exercise in the evening because evening exercise seems convenient.

 

3. 3형식 문장

- 3형식(S+V+O) -> 목적어 -> 동사가 나타내는 동작의 대상이 되는 말 -> 불필요한 전치사를 붙이지 않도록 주의

- explain(~에 대해 설명하다), discuss(~에 대해 논의하다), reach(~에 도착하다), attend(~에 참석하다), contact(~와 연락하다)

 

011 The perfume of wildflowers fills the air.

012 The skin around her eyes forms thin lines.

013 Leaders should explain the true reasons for their decisions to others.

014 As we reached the top of the hill, the farmhouse came into view.

015 These people welcomed hard work as a necessary part of the process.

 

4. 4형식 문장

- 4형식(S+V+IO+DO) -> 간접목적어+직접목적어 -> 두 개의 목적어로 의미 전달

- give(주다), send(보내다), show(보여주다), bring(가져오다), tell(말하다), teach(가르치다), lend(빌려주다), buy(사주다), ask(묻다), offer(제안하다, 제공하다)

- 간접목적어 -> ~에게 -> 전달받는 상대방을 가리킴

- 직접목적어 -> ~을/를 -> 전달 대상을 가리킴

 

016 A 'waggle dance' tells other bees the location of flowers.

017 In 1969, the exhibition brought him international recognition.

018 Trees give scientists some information about that area's climate.

019 My father showed me the photograph album of his high school days.

020 An Eqyptian executive offered him joint partnership in a new business venture.

 

5. 5형식 문장

- 5형식(S+V+O+OC) -> 목적격 보어 -> 목적어만으로 의미 전달이 불완전 -> 목적어에 대해 보충 설명

 -> 명사, 형용사가 올 수 있음 -> 부사는 올 수 없음

- call(~를 ...라고 부르다), name(~를 ...라고 이름짓다), make(~를 ...로 만들다)

- think/consider/find(~를 ...라고 생각하다), keep(~를 ...상태로 유지하다), leave(~를 ...상태로 두다)

 

021 Some dogs keep our homes safe from harmful insects.

022 Newspaper headlines called the honest young man a hero.

023 The rabbit makes the chase difficult for the coyote.

024 Most people consider the lack of an answering machine inconsiderate.

025 Blinking makes the eyes wet and keeps the front portion clear.
